“Great night celebrating the power of recovery at Hope For Recovery’s 2nd Annual Your Change Can Change Lives event benefiting Herren Project. Thank you to Robyn & Jimmy Bakes & Jodi Delvecchio & the other countless people who made last night possible. Thank you to Heather Sinclair, The Recovery Warrior for sharing your testimony as well. Together We Do Recover.” Herren Project Facebook
As I shared my experience, strength & hope w/ the audience, my phone was ringing from calls & dinging from texts bc I forgot to silence it. It was my boys blowing up my phone wishing me luck & thinking of me at the same time I was thinking of them!!! … They had no idea that I was speaking at that exact moment, while discussing my gratitude for THEM & this lasting sobriety. No coincidences! Thank you God for this gift of recovery & my special bond with my boys today as a result! Thank you Robyn & Dimitri Bakes from Hope for Recovery for an absolutely amazing night & taking a chance on me as one of your speakers. Lol! And my biggest thanks to Chris Herren for igniting the courage to be vulnerable across the country, particularly in our schools. Your courage & example of vulnerability relaying your personal story are giving others the STRENGTH to find a better way. The Herren Project, thank you for all you do to help others struggling to overcome addiction 💗 And a big thank you to all those organizations that were there last night that do the same! #hopeforrecovery #theherrenproject #herrenwellness #thelighthousesoberlivingrecovery365 #brookdalerecovery #awarerecoverycare #silverhillhospital #recoveryservicesofCT #CCAR
